Craftmanship to Last a Lifetime

Fuel for Dreams Workshop is owned and operated by Troy German. Troy Started his woodworking journey in the spare bedroom of his two bedroom apartment, with just a few tools and the generosity of many others. In 2009, while earning a teaching credential, Troy had the opportunity to student-teach under Joe Mello, one of the best woodshop teachers in the state. This took his knowledge and expertise to a new level while also helping his hobby become a passion. Between then and 2020 he was fortunate to continue teaching woodshop along with math at the high school level.

In 2021, with the invaluable support of his wife Molly, Troy took the leap to become a full-time woodworker. Since that time he has had the pleasure of working on many fun and interesting projects that continue to stretch his skills, while focusing on specializing in chairmaking.

While Troy’s passion is for building fine furniture he continues to have a desire to teach. To meet this desire he has taken on an apprentice who is discovering her own love of woodworking and creating, Tamara Peters. Tamara brings an eagerness to learn and develop her skills as well as a keen eye for interesting and challenging projects.

So, if you have a project that you would like to have built, or would like to experience the joy of woodworking and build your own dream, please feel free to contact us.
